Privacy

Holo and Hero TCG and Repairs, a trading card and phone repair business in Brisbane, Queensland, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What information do we collect?
We only collect what we need to run the shop and repair service:
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and what you bought.
- When you create an account: your login details and order history.
- When you request a repair quote or send a message: your name, contact details, phone make and model, and the details you give us about the problem.
- When you browse the site: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, recorded in standard server logs and needed to keep the site secure.
We do not collect or store your full card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, which processes your card directly under its own security standards.
Why do we use it?
- To process, ship and support your orders, including refunds and returns.
- To quote for and carry out phone repairs, and to contact you about them.
- To answer your questions.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as tax records.
- To protect the site and our customers from fraud and misuse.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. We never sell your personal information.
Who do we share it with?
We share only what is needed with the services that help us run the business:
- Stripe, to process payments, and Afterpay if you choose to pay with it.
- Australia Post or another carrier, to deliver your order.
- Our website host, which stores the site and its data on servers in Australia.
- Government agencies, where the law requires it.
Stripe and Afterpay may store and process information outside Australia under their own privacy policies.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies to keep your cart, log you in and complete checkout. Stripe may set cookies during payment to help prevent fraud. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
How do we keep it safe?
The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, access to customer records is limited to the business owner and the people who maintain the website, and we keep software up to date. Order records are kept for at least five years, as Australian tax law requires. Other information, such as repair enquiries that did not go ahead, is deleted when we no longer need it.
Can you see or correct your information?
Yes. You can view and update most of your details in your account. To ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, send us a message through the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
How do you make a complaint?
If you are worried about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
